Chuck Sullivan has been in private practice since 2003. While he was stationed in California in the United States Air Force, a medical condition that had not responded to conventional medical treatment was resolved with several acupuncture treatments. This inspired Chuck to study acupuncture, first at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, then transferring to Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. He began his practice in Springfield, Missouri, before moving to Memphis in 2005. As owner of Acupuncture and Healing Arts Medical Group, Chuck proudly serves Memphis and the Midsouth community.

"My passion in acupuncture is to bring effective help to people who want to use alternative therapies for their health care needs. I help my patients from all walks of life restore balance in their bodies to recover from many types of issues in a safe and reliable way.

"While in the United States Air Force I developed a painful debilitating skin condition that was treated with anti-histamines. The medication, although effective for other conditions, was not effective for mine. A local friend recommended an acupuncturist who helped me figure out my condition and encouraged me to study acupuncture.

"The experience of being ill and treated with a cookie cutter approach led me to believe that each patient requires an individualized approach. The theoretical framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine allows the practitioner to customize a treatment plan based on the individuals unique presentation. I have learned a variety of tools over the years. These tools include meridian style acupuncture, the original "dry needling" style of acupuncture, TCM acupuncture, herbal therapy, cupping therapy, gua sha, acupressure, Zen Shiatsu (2 years of study), tuina, nutrition and qigong.

"Since 2005 I have been using acupuncture to help people in Memphis with a variety of medical concerns. My practice involves mainly treating chronic pain, acute pain, and infertility. In addition, I have treated everything from migraines to digestive issues.

I've had such a great experience here! I came for elevated hormone levels and after 4 sessions my hormone levels were back within normal range! It is very relaxing and nice to take a break and lay there during a session. They are always very accommodating when it comes to scheduling, even when there was a mix-up of when I should come they were very helpful in getting me rescheduled. At first I came for acupuncture because I wanted to try anything natural that could help. Now I am amazed at what results I found here! Thank you!!

My son & I have both go to Chuck for acupuncture treament and have benefited greatly from both acupuncture and the Chinese herbs that Chuck uses in treatment. I’ve been with Acupuncture and Healing Arts for more than 12 years it’s so good I quit Narcotics 12 years ago not long after I started. This is my go to for PAIN THERAPY so come on get your pain relief started with out Narcotics. My wife goes also for her arthritis and swears by it. We don’t give it 5 stars this is a 10 star for sure I’ll be 71 soon and the time with them is FANTASTIC!
