Acupuncture has been proven a useful adjunct therapy for patients going through chemo. Here is an ABC news article about this topic. Barrie Cassileth, Ph.D, Sloan Kettering Jan. 13, 2010 b>Question: Is it safe to have acupuncture if I'm undergoing cancer treatment? If so, how might it help? Answer:Acupuncture is a wonderful complementary therapy that can be used actually prior to cancer treatment or during cancer treatment or after it. It helps in many different ways. Acupuncture can reduce nausea and vomiting, which these days is not as commonly associated with chemotherapy as it was years ago. These days there are very good antiemetics, anti-nausea agents that are given along with chemotherapy. So that it is rare or much rarer than it was even a few years ago for patients to experience nausea and vomiting, but acupuncture does a great job of that and can be used along with and during chemotherapy. A side effect of chemotherapy, when the nerves are damaged either by surgery or chemotherapeutic agents, is a tingling painful sensation in the nerves called neuropathy, and acupuncture can do a very good job of treating that as well. Acupuncture's also useful for a variety of other things.

My son & I have both go to Chuck for acupuncture treament and have benefited greatly from both acupuncture and the Chinese herbs that Chuck uses in treatment. My son sees Chuck for sinus and digestive issues and has seen marked improvement in both areas. I went to Chuck for perimenopausal symptoms and was able to transition to menopause with only herbs and acupuncture. I echo the other reviewer, finding Chuck both compassionate and caring.

I absolutely loved sessions performed by my therapist Chuck Sullivan. I had a build up of muscle spasms which has been untreated for over 7 years. Even though temporary,I benefited from the acupuncture. However the VA determined I need dry needling.

I've had such a great experience here! I came for elevated hormone levels and after 4 sessions my hormone levels were back within normal range! It is very relaxing and nice to take a break and lay there during a session. They are always very accommodating when it comes to scheduling, even when there was a mix-up of when I should come they were very helpful in getting me rescheduled. At first I came for acupuncture because I wanted to try anything natural that could help. Now I am amazed at what results I found here! Thank you!!

I have been going to accupunture with Chuck for more than five years. His treatment and expertise has been very valuable during my fertile journey, pregnancy, seasonal allergies and even anxiety. He is very knowledgeable and is very relaxing going there. Definitely worth giving it a try if you haven’t done it yet.

I can't say enough positive things about this collection of Practitioners.. the name kinda says it all. They each practice the Art of Healing the body along with our emotion. I have been a patient there for over 12 yrs now and have to say that they continue to lift me up and set me back on track with such non-invasive self empowering methods, that they are my !st choice in medical care.

This was my first time trying acupuncture, and I went in because I was dealing with stress-related neck and back pain. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and kind, and she noticed that I was a veteran. She shared with me how many veterans are referred to them through a specific program, which I really appreciated. Chuck completed my initial assessment, and although it didn’t take long, it was clear that he genuinely cared about understanding what could be causing my pain. He listened, asked questions, and got straight to work. When I left, I definitely felt better. There was still a dull ache, but it was nothing compared to how I felt when I first walked in. I waited a few days before posting my review because I had read that acupuncture can work instantly for some people, while for others it may take a little time. After two days, the pain in my back was completely gone. I will definitely be back if the pain returns or if I have any other body aches and pains. I’m grateful for such a positive first experience!

I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and my precious baby is now resting on my sciatic nerve causing intense pain and difficulty walking. I've done prenatal massages, sleep on a heating pad, yoga, and hot showers. These methods are good but only gives me temporary relief. I have always wanted to try acupuncture because it looks interesting to me. I did a Google search and came across Dr. Sullivan's practice. My experience today exceeded my expectations. During this covid mess, most places are by appointment only. I called today and was able to be seen today. I explained to Candice how bad I feel and she was beyond pleasant and understanding. Dr. Sullivan was gentle and walked me through the entire process. He was very helpful and made sure my baby and I were comfortable. I wish I could give them 20 stars. I can see myself making them my new home for relief and relaxation.

I can't even put it in words how great Chuck is. I have been dealing with this pain for over 10 years and after the first day I could already tell it was helping. After treatment 3 I feel like I could do back flips. He listens to you and wants to help!!! It's so relaxing and he makes sure you are comfortable.
