Women and Acupuncture
Women are finding that treatment of reproductive concerns, menstrual issues and menopause from a Western perspective is not entirely satisfactory. That is why we offer a holistic approach, including acupuncture and herbal remedies to deal not only with the manifestations of a problem or disease, but also identify the root cause.
Infertility and Acupuncture
Acupuncture helps by addressing problems that affect fertility such as an under-functioning thyroid (hypothyroidism) or over-functioning thyroid (hyperthyroidism). Acupuncture, frequently combined with herbal medicine, has been used for centuries to treat some causes of infertility. Additionally, acupuncture can increase blood flow to the endometrium, helping to facilitate a thick, rich lining.

Endometriosis and Painful Menstruation
When we experience pain, the body is trying to communicate to us an imbalance needing treatment or care. This means we need to not only address the pain and associated symptoms, but we also need to address the underlying cause. The key to successful eradication of menstrual pains and associated symptoms is to treat the condition early on.
Normal menstruation usually has a regular cyclicity, a consistent flow pattern, and a minimal amount of clots. Some discomfort associated with the onset of menstruation is normal. Pains that are increasing or require pain medications are not normal and need to be evaluated.
Chinese medicine categorizes endometriosis as a static blood condition, or blood which is not flowing as it should, and thus causes problems. Other painful conditions include polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and uterine fibroids. Acupuncture is an effective treatment to relieve lower abdominal pain, regulate blood circulation, and activate immune response.
Acupuncture for Headaches and Migraines
The pain that headache and migraine sufferers endure can impact every aspect of their lives. Acupuncture can offer powerful relief without the side effects that prescription and over-the-counter drugs can cause. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine have been used to relieve Headaches and Migraines, as well as their underlying causes, for thousands of years. Our aim is to help by reducing the severity and frequency of chronic headaches.
